For counting the no of host all we need the subnet mask ,Just count the no of zero present in subnet

Use Bitwise OR Operator to get the Broadcast Address:

Broadcast Address: 172.16.5.63

IP Address 172.16.5.34/26 belongs to the 172.16.5.0/26 Network. The network Address is 172.16.5.0 and the Broadcast Address is 172.16.5.63.

First step towards solving the ip adressing problems is to find subnet address
So to find the subnet address is
Subnet Address= Ip adress(And) subnet mask

eg.- ip address=192.168.192.10
subnet mask=255.255.255.248
subnet address=192.168.192.8
